62322             Date: 31/7/1628.    Lease from Feoffees to William Gurney for 80 years.

                        Gurney hands over a lease previously made by feoffees to William Kent the                            Elder  of one piece of land adjoining unto the New Kaye for the term of 80

                        years, of which there are 76 years yet to run .......  and also for 22 shillings ..

                        ...      (They now grant to him):   

                        “All that piece of land lying on the south side of the tenement now adjacent to

                        the New Kaye wherein Walter Mansfeld now dwells and adjacent the cellar

                        and courtlage of the tenement aforesaid, being the easter part of the said

                        tenement .....  which was inclosed by William Gurney,  containing in breadth

                        from north to south at the wester end 38 feet, and in length from east to west                           64 feet and upon the same part whereof William Gurney hath begun to erect                                one dwelling house ....”

 

62415/6          16/11/1629.    Lease from feoffees to William Gurney for 80 years:

                       

                        “All that piece of waste land with appurtenances ..... next adjoining unto the

                        wall of the tenement there now newly erected ... by the said Wm. Gurney

                        which said piece containeth from the said wall towards the east 14 feet and

                        from south to north so much as the said wall there doth containe

                        Consideration:  £30,  rent 3s. 4d.

 

62417             31/10/1629.     Lease from feoffees to Mark Hawkins for 80 years.

                                                Consideration:  £60

 

                        “All that piece of waste land with appurtenances  ..... at New Kaye .... on the

                        east parte of the 14 feet of waste land next adjoining the easter wall of the

                        tenement there newly erected by William Gurney .....   which said piece of

                        land contained in length from the aforesaid piece of waste land towards the                            east 48 feet and in breadth at the wester end 34 feet and half a foote,  and in                         breadth at the easter end 42 feet.”

 

63196             1655.   Lease from feoffees to Henry Crue, Vintner.

 

                        “Messuage ...... at New Kaye between lands of feoffees now in possession of

                        John Barnes, lessee of Mark Hawkings, in west,  water of Dart in north and                             east and street in south ....... which said tenement  Henry Crue does now

                        inhabit

 

63197             1655.    Lease from feoffees to Ambrose Mudd.

                       

                        “Messuage ...   between lands now in tenure of Alexander Staplehill on west                           and north, of Mark Hawkings in east, the street on south ...  which tenement is                    in the occupation of Ambrose Mudd ...”

 

53422             24/6/1665.     Lease from feoffees to Henry Crue Vintner.

 

                        Leave to fix pipe to cistern of conduit in Broad Street and connect it to .....

                        the brewhouse of Henry Crue situated on the Fosse.
