13/3/1871                   ARTICLES OF AGREEMENT BETWEEN

 

                                    1.  Allen Macey of DM, draper

                                    2.  William Robert Creed of DM. gent

                                        and Robert Lewis Fox of DM. accountant

                                        (executors of will of Robert Moysey Mortimore, deceased)

 

            Allen Macey is owner of an adjacent property in Duke Street to R.M.Mortimore, and has opened a new window in his western wall, causing disputes between the parties. 

 

Now it is agreed that Creed & Fox will abstain from at once blocking up the window.  And Macey agrees that Creed & Fox have the right to block it up whenever it may seem fit to them to do so.

 

2/10/1905                    MORTGAGE agreed for £270 between

 

                                    1.  William Henry Hole of Babbacombe, Torquay, licensed victualler.

 

                        and  2.  Robert Lewis Fox of Stoke Fleming, retired Law Clerk.

 

            To secure repayment of principal and interest on 3/5/ next (1906) of £270 @ 4%, the property described below is msortgaged to R.L.Fox.

 

                        Property:  (Trustees of lands of Clifton-Dartmouth-Hardness)

                        Messuage or houses and premises at Duke Street and Foss Street.

 

(Written at bottom):  Received the sum of £254.5.1 in full satisfaction of principal and interest secured by the above mortgage.
